Wed Dec 04 02:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Retired Bank Employee Found Murdered in Car in Warangal
**Warangal, Telangana:** A retired bank employee was found brutally murdered in his car in Warangal, Telangana, on Wednesday. Police identified the victim as Veligeti Rajmohan (66), a resident of Srinagar Colony, Hanumakonda. His body was discovered in his car parked near Rangampeta, Warangal district.
According to Warangal’s Mattemvada Circle Inspector (CI) Tumma Gopi Reddy and ACP Nandiram Nayak, Rajmohan’s body showed signs of severe assault, including stab wounds. He was found bound with chains and ropes inside his vehicle.
Rajmohan lived alone after his wife passed away four years ago. His two daughters, one residing in the USA and the other in Hyderabad, were informed of the tragedy.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Rajmohan was abducted on Monday night around 7:40 pm near Ambedkar junction in Hanumakonda. CCTV footage shows him driving away from his home. His whereabouts remained unknown until his body was discovered.
Police are investigating various angles, including robbery. While Rajmohan reportedly owned gold jewelry worth approximately ₹5 lakh, it was not found on his body. However, investigators do not believe the murder was solely motivated by robbery, as the brutality of the crime suggests a possible other motive. Police are also exploring the possibility of financial dealings being involved in the crime.
A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Rajmohan’s brother, and the investigation is underway. The police are reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence from the crime scene. The police are appealing to the public for any information that might aid the investigation.
