Wed Dec 04 02:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Brutal Murder of Retired Bank Employee in Warangal
**Warangal, Telangana:** A retired bank employee was found brutally murdered in his car in Warangal, Telangana. Police have identified the victim as 66-year-old Veligeti Rajmohan, a resident of Srinagar Colony in Hanumakonda.
According to Warangal District Matwada CI Thumma Gopireddy and ACP Nandiram Nayak, Rajmohan’s body was discovered early Tuesday morning in his car parked on a roadside in Rangampet. He had been bound with chains and ropes and suffered severe injuries from beatings and stab wounds.
Rajmohan, widowed four years ago, lived alone. His two married daughters reside in the US and Hyderabad respectively. Police investigations revealed that he was last seen leaving his home around 7:40 PM on Monday. CCTV footage confirmed his departure from Srinigar Colony via Ambedkar Junction.
His body was discovered by passers-by, who then alerted the police. While friends reported that Rajmohan possessed gold ornaments worth approximately ₹5 lakh, these were missing from his body. However, police are investigating whether the murder was solely motivated by robbery, given the extreme brutality of the attack. They are exploring financial dealings as a potential motive.
The police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by Rajmohan’s brother and are actively pursuing the investigation, examining CCTV footage and collecting forensic evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
