**Rajuri, Maharashtra:** A Home Guard, identified as Sadashiv Sandu Dhakanne, climbed a mobile tower in Rajuri on Wednesday morning to protest the lack of a cabinet position for Shivendraraje Bhosale, a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dhakanne, reportedly stationed in Rajuri, vowed to remain atop the tower until Bhosale is appointed to the Maharashtra cabinet. He further threatened self-harm, stating he would consume poison if forced down. This dramatic protest comes after the recent election of 288 MLAs in Maharashtra, many of whom campaigned on the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Police are currently at the scene attempting to negotiate with Dhakanne.
