**Mumbai, December 4, 2024** – Stand-up comedian and actor Sunil Pal, 49, sparked a brief scare after going untraceable for several hours on Tuesday. Pal, who had travelled outside Mumbai for a performance, was unreachable by phone, leading his worried wife to contact the Santacruz police station. Fearing a kidnapping, she sought assistance in locating him.
Police launched a search involving Pal’s relatives. However, the situation resolved late Tuesday evening when Pal himself contacted his family, assuring them of his safety and promising to return home late Tuesday night or early Wednesday. As a result, his wife chose not to file a formal police complaint. Authorities will, however, reportedly follow up with Pal upon his return to inquire about his whereabouts during the day.
