Wed Dec 04 06:23:41 UTC 2024: ## CAT 2024 Provisional Answer Key Released; Objections Open Until December 5th
**KOLKATA, INDIA** – The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have released the provisional answer key for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam on November 24th can now raise objections to the answer key until 11:55 PM on December 5th.
Objections can be submitted online through the official CAT website, iimcat.ac.in. The objection window opened at 6 PM on December 3rd. The marking scheme awards three marks for each correct answer, with a one-mark penalty for each incorrect answer in multiple-choice questions.
After reviewing the objections, the final answer key and results will be announced. Media reports suggest the results may be released in January 2025.
Last year’s results showed an interesting trend: all 14 candidates who achieved a perfect 100 percentile were male, with 11 from engineering backgrounds and 3 from non-engineering fields. A further 29 candidates scored 99.99 percentile, including 28 males and one female.
A successful CAT score allows candidates to apply for MBA programs at various IIMs across India. Further details are available on the official CAT 2024 website.
