ISKANDAR PUTERI, Dec 3 (Bernama) – Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) and Buriram United played out a tense 0-0 draw in their Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) match at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium today. The match was overshadowed by three red cards, two for JDT and one for Buriram. Murilo Santos of JDT received the first red card in the 10th minute, followed by Buriram captain Theerathon Bunmathan in the 43rd. JDT’s Park Jun Heong was sent off in injury time.
Despite playing with ten men for much of the game, JDT held firm against Buriram’s attacks. While both teams had scoring opportunities, neither could break the deadlock, resulting in a goalless draw. JDT’s best chances came from attempts by their players in the 64th, 71st, and 84th minutes, all thwarted by Buriram goalkeeper Neil Leonard Etheridge. The rainy conditions throughout the match further hampered attacking play for both sides.
