**Kochi, [Date]** – Honda has launched the third-generation Amaze compact sedan in India, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor. The new model boasts a redesigned exterior and interior, enhanced safety features, and improved fuel efficiency, all while retaining the same 1.2-liter petrol engine.
The Amaze is available in three variants (V, VX, and ZX) with both manual and automatic transmission options. Prices range from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The design takes inspiration from the Elevate SUV, featuring a prominent grille, slim LED headlights, and redesigned rear. The interior also reflects the Elevate’s design language, with a spacious dashboard and a free-standing infotainment system.
Safety is a key focus, with the Amaze incorporating an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) based on camera technology, six airbags, three-point seatbelts, and ABS with EBD. While the design and features have been significantly upgraded, the vehicle continues to use the same 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 90 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is rated at 18.65 kmpl for the manual and 19.46 kmpl for the automatic.
The launch positions the Honda Amaze as a strong contender in the competitive Indian compact sedan segment.
