Wed Dec 04 10:10:20 UTC 2024: **PSLV-C59 Launch Postponed Due to Technical Glitch; Telangana Sees Reckless Driving Incident and Earthquake Tremors Reported**
**Sriharikota, India** – The launch of the PSLV-C59 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Sriharikota has been postponed due to a technical snag detected in the satellite. The countdown, which had progressed for 25.30 hours, was halted just before the scheduled 4:08 PM launch on Wednesday. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has rescheduled the launch for Thursday at 4:12 PM. The PSLV-C59 was set to carry the European Space Agency’s Proba-3 satellites into orbit.
Separately, a reckless driving incident occurred in the Habibnagar police station limits of Hyderabad, Telangana. A driver collided with multiple vehicles.
Telangana also experienced earthquake tremors, with reports indicating that the intensity of the quake felt in Mulugu district was significant. A retired scientist from the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Nagesh, stated that this was the most intense seismic activity experienced in the Telugu states in 55 years. The tremors were also felt near the Sammakka-Sarakka temple in Medaram. However, another retired NGRI scientist, Purnachandra Rao, reassured the public, stating that the likelihood of major earthquakes in the Telugu states is low.
