**New Delhi** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a special screening of “The Sabarmati Report” on Monday evening, alongside Cabinet ministers and the film’s cast. The film depicts the 2002 burning of a Sabarmati Express coach near Godhra station, a pivotal event in Indian history.

PM Modi had previously lauded the film on social media, stating that a “fake narrative” could only be sustained for a limited time. Following the screening, he commended the filmmakers for their efforts.

Lead actor Vikrant Massey described the experience as the “highest point” of his career, while co-star Raashii Khanna called it “surreal.” Both expressed hope for wide viewership, noting the film’s tax-free status in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut praised the film for uncovering truths previously hidden, while BJP MP Mayank Nayak highlighted its role in clearing the image of PM Modi and the Gujarat government from alleged past accusations. Both emphasized the film’s depiction of alleged political manipulation surrounding the incident.

The screening, held within the Parliament complex, was attended by numerous BJP MPs and members of the Modi Cabinet. The film’s release on November 15th has already sparked significant political discussion.
