**CHENNAI, December 3, 2024** – Three men were arrested on Monday for allegedly causing a disturbance and assaulting a police officer at Government Stanley Hospital in Chennai. The suspects, identified as Francis (35), Dilip (19), and Kishore (21), are relatives of a 75-year-old woman who died at the hospital on Sunday.
The men accused the hospital of medical negligence and, in a fit of rage, damaged a ward’s glass door. When Special Sub-Inspector Ashok Kumar attempted to intervene, he was assaulted by the trio. The injured officer received treatment at the hospital.
Based on SSI Kumar’s complaint, the three men were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Police are investigating the allegations of medical negligence.
