**Hyderabad, December 3:** Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube powered Mumbai to a resounding 39-run victory over Services in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Sunday. Yadav, the Indian T20 captain, smashed a 46-ball 70, while Dube remained unbeaten on 71 from just 37 deliveries. Their 130-run partnership was the cornerstone of Mumbai’s impressive total of 192/3.
Mumbai, who lost three early wickets at 60 runs, recovered spectacularly thanks to the explosive batting of Yadav and Dube. The duo plundered 130 runs in just 66 balls, smashing nine fours and eleven sixes between them. Ajinkya Rahane (22) and Shreyas Iyer (20) also contributed to the total.
Services were bowled out for 153 in response. Dube’s whirlwind innings, played at a strike rate of nearly 192, was particularly noteworthy. Yadav, returning from his sister’s wedding, also impressed with a strike rate of 152.
Mumbai, currently second in Group E, have won four out of five matches. Their final league stage match is against Andhra Pradesh on December 5th. They are aiming to repeat their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy triumph from the 2022-2023 season. There is speculation that Suryakumar Yadav may also feature in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
