**Hyderabad, India** – Skoda Auto India has officially launched its smallest compact SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, with prices starting at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Classic variant. The top-spec Prestige automatic variant is priced at ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Kylaq commenced on Monday.
The Kylaq is available in four trims: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige, and comes in seven colors: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black, and Olive Gold. Skoda offers a standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty.
**Variant-wise Features:**
* **Classic (₹7.89 Lakh):** Features six airbags, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and all-LED lighting. Manual transmission only.
* **Signature (₹9.59 Lakh Manual/ ₹10.59 Lakh Automatic):** Adds 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and rear AC vents.
* **Signature+ (₹11.40 Lakh Manual/ ₹12.40 Lakh Automatic):** Upgrades to a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch virtual cockpit, climate control, a rearview camera, and power-folding mirrors.
* **Prestige (₹13.35 Lakh Manual/ ₹14.40 Lakh Automatic):** The top-end model includes a single-pane sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, LED fog lamps with cornering function, LED projector headlamps, and ambient lighting.
**Powertrain and Specifications:**
The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine (shared with other Skoda and Volkswagen models), producing 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Skoda claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.5 seconds.
