**KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA (November 30, 2024)** – Sri Lanka’s Under-19 women’s cricket team will depart for Malaysia on December 2nd to compete in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup, running from December 15th to 22nd. The team, led by Captain Manudi Nanayakkara (Princess of Wales, Moratuwa) and Deputy Captain Rashmika Sewwandi (Anura College, Matara), is comprised of 16 players and one travelling reserve.
Sri Lanka is grouped with Bangladesh and host nation Malaysia in Group A. Their opening match is against Malaysia on December 15th, followed by a clash with Bangladesh on December 16th, both in Kuala Lumpur. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, beginning on December 19th. The final is scheduled for December 22nd. A full team roster is available upon request. The team’s success will depend on their ability to navigate a challenging group stage and perform well in the knockout rounds.
