**Rangareddy, Telangana:** A speeding lorry ran over seven vegetable vendors on a highway near Rangareddy district in Telangana on Monday evening, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to several others.
The victims, aged between 22 and 48, were selling vegetables by the roadside when the lorry, traveling from Hyderabad to Vikarabad, struck them. Three died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries at Chevella Government Hospital. The identity of the fourth victim is yet to be confirmed. Four others, including the lorry driver, sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at various hospitals. The lorry reportedly came to a halt after colliding with a tree.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed grief over the incident and directed officials to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
