**Mumbai:** Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey has clarified recent speculation surrounding his alleged retirement from acting. Following a social media post that was misinterpreted as an announcement of his retirement, Massey stated he is instead taking an extended break from the industry.
The initial post, hinting at potentially leaving acting by 2025, sparked widespread concern and headlines among his fans. The 37-year-old actor, however, has now issued a clarification, stating that the post was misunderstood.
Massey explained his need for a break, prioritizing his health and family. “Acting is all I know; it’s given me everything. But right now, I need a break. I have much more to improve upon,” he said. He further added, “My previous post was misinterpreted. I am not retiring. I want to focus on my family and improve my health. I will return when the time feels right.”
Massey, who gained recognition through the television show “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom” (2007), made his Bollywood debut in “Lootera” (2013) alongside Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. His career significantly advanced through his role in the popular series “Mirzapur”, and he also starred in the remake of the Malayalam film “Forensic”. His recent film, “12th Fail,” further solidified his rising stardom. The actor’s decision to take a break, though initially alarming, has now been clarified as a period of rest and rejuvenation, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his return to the screen.
