**Chennai, India** – Skoda Auto India has officially launched its highly anticipated compact SUV, the Kylaq, with prices starting at ₹7.89 lakh for the base Classic variant. The Kylaq is available in four variants – Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige – and seven colors: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black, and Olive Gold. Skoda offers a standard 3-year or 100,000 km warranty.

The Kylaq features a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine (already used in other Skoda-VW models), producing 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It comes with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. Skoda claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.5 seconds. The top-spec Prestige variant with the automatic gearbox includes paddle shifters.

The entry-level Classic variant includes six airbags, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, and all-LED lights. Note that an automatic gearbox is not available for this variant.

The Signature manual starts at ₹9.59 lakh, and the automatic version is priced at ₹10.59 lakh. Features include 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and rear AC vents.

The top-of-the-line Prestige manual is priced at ₹13.35 lakh, while the automatic (with paddle shifters) costs ₹14.40 lakh. This variant adds features like a single-pane sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, LED fog lamps with cornering function, and LED projector headlamps with ambient lighting.
