**Mumbai, India (December 2, 2024)** – Škoda Auto India today launched the highly anticipated Kylaq sub-compact SUV, with prices starting at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Classic variant. The Kylaq will be offered in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige, each offering a progressive increase in features and luxury.
The entry-level Classic variant, available only with a manual transmission, boasts over 40 features including six airbags, LED lighting, and advanced safety systems. Higher trims add features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels, cruise control, and a cooled glovebox (Signature), a digital instrument cluster and larger infotainment screen (Signature+), and premium additions like an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, and wireless phone charging (Prestige). Automatic transmission, using Škoda’s AQ250 gearbox, is available on all but the Classic variant and adds approximately ₹1 lakh to the price.
The first 33,333 customers will receive a complimentary three-year standard maintenance package. Bookings open today at 4 PM, with deliveries commencing January 27, 2025. The Kylaq will be available in seven colors.
Brand Director Petr Janeba stated that the Kylaq aims to “democratize European technology on Indian roads” and represents a significant step in Škoda’s strategy to revitalize its presence in the Indian market. He expressed confidence that the Kylaq’s combination of global design, safety features, and value pricing will attract new customers and strengthen Škoda’s brand position.
