**New Delhi:** Skoda Auto India has opened bookings for its newly launched entry-level SUV, the Skoda Kylaq. Bookings commenced on December 2nd, with deliveries anticipated to begin in January 2024.
The Kylaq, Skoda’s third India-specific model following the Kushaq and Slavia, is available in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige, priced between ₹7.89 lakh and ₹13.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
The SUV boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.32 kmpl from its 1-liter petrol engine, generating 115 BHP and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Features include a 446-liter boot, an 8-inch instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The Kylaq will compete directly with popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet. Skoda is confident that the Kylaq’s features and fuel efficiency will establish it as a strong contender in the market.
