**Hassan, Karnataka –** A promising young police officer, Harsh Vardhan, was tragically killed in a road accident in Hassan district on Friday. Vardhan, a probationary IPS officer who had recently completed his training, was on his way to assume his new post as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Hassan city when the accident occurred. He was due to begin his duties on Monday.
