**NEW DELHI** – The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has released detailed guidelines for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025, scheduled for December 1st, 2024. The exam will be conducted in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The 120-mark question paper will be the same for both undergraduate five-year integrated programs and postgraduate one-year programs. Each correct answer will carry one mark, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers. Unanswered questions will not attract any penalty.
Candidates are advised to report to the exam center by 1:00 PM and must be seated in their allotted seats by 1:30 PM. Entry will be strictly prohibited after 2:15 PM. The exam duration is two hours for general candidates, extending to 2 hours and 40 minutes for candidates with disabilities (PwD) and specially abled persons (SAP). Once inside the examination hall, candidates must remain seated until the exam concludes. Washroom usage will not be permitted after the exam begins.
The CNLU has also specified permissible and prohibited items within the examination hall. Candidates must bring valid ID proof. Any misconduct during the exam will lead to immediate disqualification and may result in legal action. Candidates with medical conditions requiring medication should carry necessary prescriptions. Those needing isolation facilities due to illness must inform the center superintendent at least 48 hours prior to the exam.
