**TIRUPATI, December 1, 2024** – Despite heavy rain, thousands of devotees witnessed the spectacular fourth day of the annual Kartheeka Brahmotsavam at the Tiruchanur temple in Tirupati today. The highlight was the grand procession of Goddess Padmavati, adorned as Sri Rajamannar, on the Kalpavriksha Vahanam (wish-fulfilling tree).
The processional idol, believed to grant wishes to devotees, was carried through the temple amidst vibrant cultural performances. Over 238 artistes from 10 troupes braved the inclement weather, presenting a captivating display of Peacock dance, Pot dance, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kolatam, and mythological character portrayals.
Temple officials, including Pedda Jeeyangar, Chinna Jeeyangar, and Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao, participated in the procession. In the evening, the deity was carried on the Hanumantha Vahanam, drawing even larger crowds. The festival continues to attract significant numbers of devotees despite the challenging weather conditions.
