Sun Dec 01 06:43:36 UTC 2024: ## ED Tells Court Kejriwal Approval for Corruption Case Sufficient for Money Laundering Probe
**New Delhi:** The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday informed a special court that the approval granted to prosecute former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case related to the Delhi Excise Policy is sufficient to proceed with a money laundering case against him.
The ED submitted this response to Kejriwal’s plea seeking a copy of the sanction order allowing the agency to prosecute him in the money laundering case. The court has adjourned the matter until November 30th.
The ED’s special public prosecutor argued that the agency relies on the sanction order issued in the preceding criminal case investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI is investigating the corruption aspect of the Delhi Excise Policy scam, while the ED is probing the money laundering angle.
