**Bengaluru, India (November 27, 2024)** – Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have secured the services of 21-year-old English all-rounder Jacob Bethel for a hefty ₹2.6 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction. Bethel’s impressive performances in recent international matches, despite only recently making his debut, have clearly impressed the franchise.

Born in Barbados but raised in England since the age of 13, Bethel made his international debut against Australia in a recent white-ball series. He notably smashed 20 runs off one over against Adam Zampa in his second match, playing a pivotal role in England’s victory. He also impressed during a West Indies tour, showcasing strong middle-order batting. He is set to make his Test debut for England against New Zealand starting November 28th, batting at number three.
