Thu Nov 28 02:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana’s Cold Snap to End Briefly as Temperatures Rise
**Hyderabad, November 29:** Telangana is bracing for a temporary reprieve from the recent cold wave, with temperatures expected to climb starting November 30th. The ten-day cold spell, which saw record lows including a season’s low of 7.9°C in Sirpur, Komaram Bheem district, is set to end as warmer, more humid conditions arrive.
However, this respite will be short-lived. According to Dr. K. Nagaratna, director at the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, the rise in temperatures is due to a deep depression approaching Tamil Nadu. While Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures are forecast to reach around 27°C, with cloudy weather and light to moderate rainfall (2-4mm) expected from November 30th, this warmer period is predicted to be temporary.
Weather blogger T. Balaji attributes the warmer temperatures to the influence of Cyclone Fengal, which will bring warmer winds to the region. Both experts agree that the chilly conditions will return by the second week of December as the cyclone’s effect subsides. The current prediction suggests rain and cloud cover will prevail until December 7th, maintaining warmer temperatures before a return to colder weather. Adilabad and Nizamabad districts, also significantly affected by the cold wave, will experience similar temperature fluctuations.
