**KOCHI, November 28, 2024** – Kochi Excise officials announced the arrest of a 40-year-old gym trainer, Naushad K. of Kannur, on Wednesday following a drug seizure. Authorities confiscated 33.61 grams of MDMA and 23.25 kilograms of ganja. The drugs were recovered from the gym where Naushad worked and the apartment of an alleged accomplice, Vinod from Malappuram, who remains at large. Investigations are ongoing, with officials indicating that drugs are frequently smuggled into the region from Bengaluru, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh via intermediaries.
