Wed Nov 27 03:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Honda Unveils Next-Gen Amaze: Spy Shots Reveal Sleek Redesign Ahead of December Launch
**New Delhi, India –** Honda Car India has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated next-generation Amaze sedan on December 4th, 2024. While official images have been limited to sketches, exclusive spy shots obtained by MotorOctane reveal a significant redesign. Images captured during late-night testing in Lucknow showcase a vehicle finished in Obsidian Blue, highlighting key exterior features.
The new Amaze boasts a more mature and sophisticated look. Upfront, a prominent hexagonal grille is complemented by distinct LED headlights with integrated DRLs and new LED fog lamps. The hood features power bulges reminiscent of the Honda Elevate. While maintaining a similar silhouette to its predecessor, the side profile reveals new 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear features a completely redesigned short boot lid with LED taillights inspired by the Honda City, minimizing chrome accents for a premium aesthetic.
Interior teasers released by Honda suggest a dashboard layout mirroring the new Honda Elevate, incorporating features found in the City. Expected features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, semi-leatherette beige upholstery, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, an electric sunroof, and a new three-spoke steering wheel. The top-spec ZX variant is anticipated to include Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Mechanically, the new Amaze is expected to utilize Honda City’s Global Small Car Platform, but retain the familiar 1.2-liter petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. Honda projects an on-road price range in Mumbai between ₹8.8 lakh and ₹13 lakh.
