Wed Nov 27 15:00:00 UTC 2024: ## Shah Rukh Khan’s Voice Brings Mufasa to Life in New Lion King Film

**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will lend his voice to the Hindi version of Disney’s upcoming film, *Mufasa: The Lion King*, set for release on December 20th. In a newly released promotional video, Khan draws parallels between his own life journey and that of the iconic lion king, Mufasa.

“This story is about a king who inherited loneliness instead of a grand legacy,” Khan states in the video. “But he had passion, and with that passion, he touched the sky. Many kings ruled the land, but he ruled the hearts of the people. This story sounds similar, doesn’t it?” he adds with a smile.

Directed by Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins, *Mufasa: The Lion King* features a star-studded cast, including James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa, and Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. voicing young Mufasa and Scar respectively. The film’s original score is composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The Khan family is heavily involved in the Hindi version. Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan Khan, will voice Simba, while his youngest son, AbRam Khan, voices young Mufasa. The film will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
