**Colombo, Sri Lanka – November 19, 2024** – Sri Lanka Cricket has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, part of the ICC World Test Championship. The series begins on November 27th at Kingsmead, Durban, with the second Test commencing on December 5th at St. George’s Park.
Ten players, including captain Dimuth Karunaratne, have already travelled to Durban for a pre-series camp. Notable among them are key players like Dhananjaya de Silva, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, and Prabath Jayasuriya. The camp focuses on acclimatization and preparation. The remaining players will join the team on November 22nd.
The squad includes the return of Lasith Embuldeniya after a two-year absence. Sri Lanka’s recent successes, including a Test series win against New Zealand and victories in the ODI and T20I series, have boosted confidence.
