**Hyderabad, November 27, 2024** – The Rachakonda She Teams have arrested 66 individuals, including 29 minors, for harassing women and girls in Hyderabad. The arrests, made during decoy operations between November 1st and 15th, followed 93 complaints received by the Women Safety Wing. These complaints included 23 cases of phone harassment, 32 cases of social media harassment, and 38 cases of direct harassment. While most cases resulted in counselling, six were classified as criminal cases and ten as petty offenses.
Among the arrests were a school van driver who molested a 12-year-old girl and a man who threatened a woman with suicide. Other arrests involved individuals who threatened to circulate private photos and videos or persistently harassed women via phone calls and comments. Seven men were also arrested for travelling in women’s metro compartments.
In addition to the arrests, the She Teams conducted 58 awareness programs reaching over 20,450 people, educating them on women’s rights and safety measures. Rachakonda Commissioner G.
