**Hyderabad, November 27, 2024** – The Telangana Education Commission (TEC) concluded its public hearing in Nalgonda on Tuesday as part of its ongoing district-wide consultation to formulate a comprehensive education policy. The hearing, attended by teachers, students, and parents from all levels of education, gathered diverse perspectives on improving the state’s education system.
Key concerns raised included the need for improved infrastructure, increased budget allocation, modernized syllabi, enhanced teacher training, and the incorporation of skills-based education relevant to current needs.
TEC chairman Akunuru Murali stated that the commission is collecting input from all stakeholders, including unions, intellectuals, and educationists across all districts, to inform the policy’s development. This feedback will be compiled and submitted to the government.
Nalgonda District Collector Ila Tripathi highlighted recent improvements in the education sector and announced the formation of a multi-departmental team to monitor the quality of education and mid-day meals in schools. The event was also attended by TEC members P.L. Vishweshwar Rao, Ch. Venkatesh, and Jyotsna Reddy.
