Iowa City, IA – The University of Iowa men’s basketball team (5-1) will look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they host USC Upstate on Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The game, televised on BTN, marks the Hawkeyes’ return home after a 77-69 defeat to Utah State in the NABC Hall of Fame Classic.

The loss to Utah State saw Iowa struggle in the second half, being outscored 44-32 and losing the rebounding battle decisively (47-31). The team also shot a season-low 19.2% from three-point range and 50% from the free-throw line.

Despite the setback, several Hawkeyes showcased strong individual performances. Sophomore Brock Harding had a career night against Utah State, scoring 19 points, grabbing four steals, and dishing out five assists. Fellow sophomore Owen Freeman contributed another double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Payton Sandfort remains a consistent contributor, averaging 17.2 points per game and reaching double figures in every contest so far this season.

Tickets for Tuesday’s game are available through the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office, priced between $15-25 for adults and $5-10 for youth. The game will also be broadcast on the Hawkeye Radio Network, with a pregame show beginning an hour before tip-off.
