Wed Nov 27 00:19:16 UTC 2024: ## Mahindra Unveils Two New Electric SUVs: XEV 9e and BE 6e

**Mumbai, India** – Mahindra & Mahindra launched two new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, Tuesday, marking a significant expansion of its electric vehicle lineup. The XEV 9e, priced at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the BE 6e, priced at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), will be available starting January 2025, with deliveries expected in February and March.

Both SUVs are built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, a dedicated EV architecture promising future electric models. The XEV 9e boasts a striking design featuring triangular LED headlamps, full-width LED DRLs, and sleek taillights, while the BE 6e offers a contemporary look with sharp lines, bulky wheel arches, and aerodynamically optimized 20-inch wheels.

Inside, both models feature driver-focused cabins inspired by fighter jets. The XEV 9e showcases a triple 12.3-inch screen setup powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox software, while the BE 6e features two 12.3-inch screens. Luxury features include a panoramic sunroof (XEV 9e), a large sunroof (BE 6e), a wireless smartphone charger (XEV 9e), a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and an ADAS suite in both vehicles.

Powering the SUVs are lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, initially offering a 59 kWh capacity with a larger 79 kWh option planned for later. Fast charging capabilities allow for a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger. The 79 kWh battery is projected to deliver a range of approximately 500 km. Power output ranges from 224 bhp to 278 bhp.

The launch also introduces two new sub-brands under Mahindra: XEV and BE. This launch significantly strengthens Mahindra’s position in the burgeoning Indian electric vehicle market.
