**Mumbai, India** – Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched two highly anticipated electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, marking the debut of its new XEV and BE sub-brands. These vehicles, set to hit the market in January 2025, aim to shake up India’s burgeoning EV sector with cutting-edge technology, stylish designs, and competitive pricing.

The XEV 9e, priced at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, boasts a sporty coupe-like design with distinctive LED lighting and a luxurious interior featuring a triple 12.3-inch screen setup powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox software. The BE 6e, starting at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), offers a more aggressive aesthetic with sharp lines and aerodynamic wheels. Both SUVs share a premium interior with features like panoramic sunroofs, 16-speaker sound systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Both models utilize Mahindra’s new INGLO architecture, a lightweight skateboard platform designed specifically for EVs. This platform incorporates high-density battery technology (initially 59 kWh LFP, with a 79 kWh option coming later), ultra-high-strength boron steel for enhanced safety, and promises a spacious, stable, and agile driving experience. Fast-charging capabilities allow for a 20-80% charge in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger, with a projected range of up to 500 km on the larger battery. Power output ranges from 224 bhp to 278 bhp depending on the model and battery configuration.

Deliveries for both the XEV 9e and BE 6e are slated to begin between February and March 2025. Mahindra is clearly positioning itself as a major player in the Indian electric vehicle market with this ambitious launch.
