**New Delhi** – Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched its first electric SUVs, the BE.06 and XUV.e9, priced at ₹18.9 lakh and ₹21.9 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. These mark the first two of six planned EVs under the company’s XUV and BE brands, with further launches slated until 2028. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year.

The SUVs, built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, boast impressive ranges: the BE.06 offers up to 682km, and the XUV.e9 up to 656km (ARAI certified). Both utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs from BYD Auto and offer fast-charging capabilities (20-80% in 20 minutes).

Mahindra is investing ₹4,500 crore (part of a ₹16,000 crore commitment) in product development and scaling production, aiming for a 10,000-unit manufacturing capacity by March 2025. The company has strategically priced its EVs competitively against popular gasoline-powered SUVs to attract value-conscious buyers while offering premium features to compete with upcoming rivals like Hyundai’s Creta EV. The prices announced are for the 59kWh battery variants. A revamped dealer network in major cities is also underway to support the launch.
