**New Delhi, India** – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated electric scooter, the Honda Activa Electric Vehicle (EV), on November 27th. The company recently released a teaser revealing a key feature: the charging port. While similar to competitors like the TVS iQube, Honda hints at unique functionalities for its charging system.
Previous teasers showcased the Activa EV’s swappable battery technology with two interchangeable battery packs and a possible modern mobile power pack setup. Honda has already stated a range of 104 kilometers on a full charge in standard mode, with a sport mode offering improved throttle response (though at the cost of reduced range). The scooter will feature swing-arm mounted motors, similar to the Bajaj Chetak and Vida V1.
Targeting family buyers, the Activa EV will be available in two trim levels, each with a distinct digital instrument cluster. The lower variant will have a TFT display, while the higher trim will boast a multi-color screen displaying key information like battery charge, range, speed, and mode selection.
