**Scottsdale, AZ** – Former Arizona Coyotes player and hockey analyst Paul Bissonnette was assaulted by six men outside a Houston’s restaurant in Scottsdale on Sunday, November 24th. According to Scottsdale Police Sergeant Allison Sempsis, Bissonnette intervened in an altercation between the six men and restaurant staff, attempting to de-escalate the situation. The men then allegedly assaulted Bissonnette, both inside and outside the establishment.

Bissonnette, who detailed the incident on the Barstool Sports podcast “Spittin’ Chiclets,” described being kicked multiple times in the head and neck. He stated that he fled to a nearby CVS to escape the attackers. While police haven’t released details on the severity of his injuries, they confirmed they are not life-threatening.

Six suspects have been arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Five face misdemeanor charges, while one faces a felony charge, potentially related to a fraudulent military ID found on one of the suspects. Police have identified the suspects as Danny Bradley, John G. Carroll, William J. Carroll, Sean Daley, Edward Jennings, and Henry Mesker.

Despite numerous media requests, Bissonnette declined an interview. However, he posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) offering a brief account of the incident and directing fans to his podcast for a more detailed explanation. He expressed gratitude to the restaurant staff, police, paramedics, and hospital personnel. While Bissonnette initially stated seven men were involved, Scottsdale PD confirmed six suspects were arrested. Houston’s restaurant declined to comment on the incident.
