Tue Nov 26 18:16:27 UTC 2024: ## Two Arrested in Hyderabad for ₹17.5 Lakh Hardware Theft
**Hyderabad, November 27, 2024** – Mangalhat police have arrested two men in connection with the theft of ₹17.5 lakh worth of hardware from Kiara Kitchen Hardware godown. Akash Kumar (20) and Piyush (19) were apprehended near Aghapura Chowrastha on Tuesday following a complaint by the godown owner, Shravan Kumar.
Police investigations revealed that Akash, employed at the godown for the past two years, conspired with Piyush to steal various hardware items over several months. Akash allegedly stole the goods and passed them to Piyush, who then sold them at discounted prices. The duo then split the proceeds.
Recovered from the suspects were ₹5 lakh in cash and stolen hardware including T Patti, tandem boxes, profiles, sliding channels, and sliding fittings, totaling ₹14.18 lakh. The total value of the recovered property is ₹17.30 lakh.
Shravan Kumar, who has run Kiara Kitchen Hardware for three years, reported the theft after noticing significant discrepancies in his stock. The investigation is ongoing.
