Alappuzha: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has asserted that the NDA in Kerala lacks unity, plagued by internal conflicts. However, he paradoxically stated that the NDA is growing, attributing this growth to the disadvantages faced by its opponents. He questioned whether the LDF ultimately benefits from the NDA’s growth.
Natesan further questioned the rationale behind fully supporting the BJP in Kerala, given the lack of popular support. He cited the recent by-election results as evidence, arguing that the NDA’s vote share led to the defeat of Thomas Unniyadan (a consistent winner) and the victory of Saji Cherian, and also contributed to the loss of the UDF candidate in Varkala. He went so far as to claim that the NDA is an asset to the LDF.
While acknowledging the by-election results, Natesan stated they shouldn’t be considered a comprehensive evaluation of the ruling LDF government’s performance and maintained his support for the LDF’s current stance.
