**New Delhi, November 27, 2024** – Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India today launched its first electric two-wheelers in the Indian market: the Activa-e and the QC1. While pricing details remain undisclosed, pre-bookings open January 1st, 2025, with deliveries commencing in February 2025. Production will take place at Honda’s Narsapura plant in Karnataka.

The Activa-e features a swappable battery system, while the QC1 offers a fixed battery pack. Honda claims a range of 102 km on a single charge for the Activa-e and 80 km for the QC1, with a top speed of 80 km/h for the Activa-e. Both models boast a sleek design, similar aesthetics, and five color options: Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue. The key difference lies in the motor placement; the Activa-e has a side-mounted motor while the QC1 utilizes a hub motor.

Both scooters include LED headlamps with turn indicators and DRLs, 12-inch alloy wheels, and a comfortable ride with telescopic front forks and adjustable rear shock absorbers. Braking systems differ slightly, with the Activa-e featuring a front disc brake and rear drum brake, while the QC1 uses drum brakes on both wheels.

The Activa-e stands out with its 7.0-inch TFT screen offering real-time connectivity through the Honda Road Sync app, a dual-tone seat, and a swappable battery setup consisting of two 1.5 kWh batteries generating a maximum power output of 8hp (6.0 kW). It offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Econ.

Honda is offering a three-year/50,000 km warranty, three free services, and complimentary roadside assistance for both models during their first year. The launch has already generated significant online interest, with Google searches for the Activa-e sharply increasing in recent weeks.
