**Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu:** A 26-year-old government school teacher was brutally murdered on school grounds in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, after rejecting a marriage proposal from a 30-year-old man. Police have arrested the accused, identified as Madan, and are currently questioning him.
According to police reports, Madan had proposed marriage to the teacher, Ramani, who subsequently rejected his advances.
