**Hyderabad, India –** The 16th edition of Poultry India Expo 2024, the largest international poultry exhibition in South Asia, will take place from November 27th to 29th at the HITEX Exhibition Complex in Hyderabad. The event, organized by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), is themed “Unlocking Poultry Potential” and anticipates over 400 exhibitors from 50+ countries and 40,000 visitors.

A key highlight is the “Knowledge Day” technical seminar on November 26th at Hotel Novotel, HICC, Hyderabad. This seminar, expected to draw over 1500 delegates from 25+ countries, will feature sessions on modern poultry production, feed mill innovations, nutrition, and animal health.

IPEMA President Uday Singh Bayas emphasized the critical need for government support to bolster India’s poultry sector, which contributes an annual Rs. 1.35 lakh crore and provides essential protein to millions. He highlighted challenges such as escalating input costs, GST burdens, and the need for policy interventions to stabilize prices, ensure affordable feed, and improve access to credit. Bayas also advocated for GST exemptions on soya meal and processing machinery, increased Rabi maize cultivation, controlled corn imports, and fast-tracked vaccine import protocols. He further urged nationwide support for egg inclusion in school meal programs and dedicated “Focus Sector” status to boost exports.

The expo itself will span 27,500 sqm across six exhibition halls, showcasing innovations in poultry management, health, nutrition, and production technologies. Organizers expect the event to be a significant platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring new business opportunities within the poultry industry. The expo will also address emerging challenges such as supply chain disruptions, environmental concerns, and disease management.
