**Vilnius, Lithuania** – A DHL cargo plane crashed a few kilometers from Vilnius Airport early Monday morning, resulting in one fatality. The aircraft, en route from Germany to Vilnius, was carrying a four-person crew. According to Renatas Pozela, head of the firefighting and emergency services unit, one crew member perished in the accident.
The crash ignited a house fire near the crash site, though the exact circumstances remain unclear. All occupants of the house were successfully evacuated, stated Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of the National Crisis Management Centre. DHL spokesperson Ausra Rutkauskien confirmed the plane’s ownership.
