**Gurugram, Nov 21:** Samsung’s R&D Institute Noida (SRI-Noida) and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) have announced a five-year collaboration focused on groundbreaking research in digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), and other emerging technologies. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will see joint research projects involving IIT Bombay students and faculty working alongside Samsung engineers.
This collaboration aims to enhance the industry readiness of IIT Bombay students while providing Samsung engineers with specialized training and certifications from the institute in areas like digital health and AI. The initiative is expected to foster innovation and create solutions for real-world challenges.
“This collaboration represents a powerful blend of industry expertise and academic excellence,” stated Kyungyun Roo, Managing Director of SRI-Noida. Professor Upendra V. Bhandarkar, Associate Dean (R&D) at IIT Bombay, added that the MoU demonstrates a shared commitment to innovation and knowledge exchange.
The partnership will also include the publication of joint research papers, furthering knowledge sharing and technological progress. Both institutions believe this collaboration will lay the groundwork for a long-term exchange of expertise, pushing the boundaries of next-generation technologies and inspiring future breakthroughs.
