**Mumbai, November 23, 2024** – The counting of votes for the Mahim Assembly constituency in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections is underway, with Mahesh Baliram Sawant of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction currently leading. This marks a significant shift from the previous election where Sada Sarvankar of the Shiv Sena held the seat.

Sawant’s lead fluctuated throughout the counting process, initially exceeding 2,600 votes, but widening considerably later. This election saw a notable debut from Amit Thackeray, son of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, who is currently trailing significantly.
