**Nashik, Maharashtra, November 21, 2024** – Nashik district witnessed a significant increase in voter turnout during Wednesday’s Assembly elections, exceeding expectations and surpassing previous election figures. Preliminary results indicate a district-wide average turnout of 67.97%, a 5% increase compared to the last Assembly elections and even surpassing the turnout in the previous Lok Sabha elections.
While voting was largely peaceful across the district, Nashik West and Niphad constituencies recorded lower than average turnout.
