**Hathras, Uttar Pradesh:** A 26-year-old woman died and her brother-in-law was critically injured in a road accident on Mathura Road in Hathras on Friday evening. Mira, a resident of Ladhauta village under Sasni police station, was on a motorcycle with her brother-in-law, Ankur, en route to a hospital when they were involved in a serious collision with a truck.
Passersby rushed the injured duo to the district hospital, where doctors pronounced Mira dead. Ankur remains hospitalized in critical condition. Mira’s death has devastated her family; she leaves behind a young son.
Police have seized the truck involved and sent Mira’s body for post-mortem. An investigation into the accident is underway.
