**Shahjahanpur, UP:** The Suraj Kanthi Cricket Tournament commenced at the Cantt Ground opposite GF College in Shahajahanpur. Former District Panchayat President Ajay Pratap Singh Yadav inaugurated the tournament.
The opening match saw Parker Cricket Academy (Muradabad) face off against Chaudhary Cricket Academy (Puwayan). Chaudhary Cricket Academy, winning the toss, batted first and scored 110 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Ankit top-scored with 28 runs. Parker Cricket Academy, in pursuit of the target, secured a comfortable 5-wicket victory. Himanshu Sharma was declared the Man of the Match for his impressive 41 runs and 2 wickets.
Several dignitaries, including Shikhar Dixit, Kabir, and tournament organizers Abhay Singh Gurjar, Anuj Yadav, Pankaj Tiwari, Abhishek Kashyap, Sunny Verma, Amit Yadav, Mohammad Anas, Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Anuj Pratap Singh, were present at the event.
