**Gadchiroli, Maharashtra:** The counting of votes for the recently concluded Assembly elections in Gadchiroli district will commence on November 23rd. The process will be spread across three locations: A total of 71 rounds of counting are planned, with 23 rounds for Armori, 26 for Gadchiroli, and 22 for Aheri constituencies.
Election Observer Rajendra Kumar Katara and District Election Officer/District Collector Sanjay Daine inspected the counting arrangements today. They emphasized strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and a well-organized counting process.
The counting venues are: Desai Ganj’s Maharashtra State Warehousing Corporation godown for Armori; the Government Industrial Training Institute in Gadchiroli town for Gadchiroli constituency; and the Government Industrial Training Institute in Nagapalli for Aheri.
Each constituency will have a dedicated setup: Armori will use 14 EVM tables, 23 rounds, 9 tables for postal ballots, and 2 for ETPBS (Electronic Transmission of Postal Ballot System); Gadchiroli will use 14 EVM tables, 26 rounds, 10 tables for postal ballots, and 2 for ETPBS; and Aheri will use 14 EVM tables, 22 rounds, 9 tables for postal ballots, and 2 for ETPBS. A significant number of counting supervisors and assistants have been deployed for each location (88 for Armori, 80 for Gadchiroli, and 89 for Aheri).
Robust security measures are in place, with police personnel deployed in a 100-meter radius around each counting center. State police will be stationed at the perimeter, State Armed Police at the entrances, and Central Armed Police Forces near the counting rooms.
