**Gumla, Jharkhand:** Gumla district is meticulously preparing for the upcoming counting of votes for the 2024 Assembly elections on November 23rd. A crucial meeting chaired by the District Election Officer (DEO) and Deputy Commissioner, Karn Satyarthi, and Superintendent of Police, Shambhu Kumar Singh, was held at the Samाहरणालय to finalize arrangements.
The DEO emphasized the criticality of the vote counting process, stating that all prior efforts would be rendered meaningless without meticulous execution on the day. Strict guidelines were issued, prohibiting mobile phones and other electronic devices inside the counting venue – the strongroom located at Chandali Polytechnic College. Access to the strongroom will be granted only from 7 AM, with counting commencing at 8 AM. Only authorized personnel with entry passes will be permitted, and outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited. Even media personnel will not be allowed mobile phones inside.
