Thu Nov 21 19:16:08 UTC 2024: ## AI Can Fight AI: ManageEngine Head Highlights Use of AI in Cybersecurity at The Hindu AI Summit

**Chennai, November 22, 2024** – Artificial intelligence (AI) is not only revolutionizing productivity but also creating new cybersecurity threats, according to Sujatha Iyer, Head of AI Security at ManageEngine. Speaking at The Hindu AI Summit 2024, Iyer highlighted the dual nature of AI, emphasizing its potential to combat the very threats it creates.

Iyer explained that while tools like ChatGPT boost efficiency, malicious actors are using similar Large Language Models (LLMs) to craft increasingly sophisticated phishing campaigns, often undetectable to the average user. With the increasing digitalization of businesses, she stressed the growing need for robust security measures, especially given that not all employees possess the same level of digital literacy.

“AI can help mitigate these risks,” Iyer stated. “AI-powered security systems can identify suspicious websites and alert users, preventing them from inadvertently entering their credentials.” She further added the importance of continuous monitoring of data to detect any anomalies.

The Hindu AI Summit 2024, presented by SRMIST and powered by Sify, brought together industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in AI. The event featured a diverse range of partners, including the Confederation of Indian Industry, CIO Association, RetailGPT, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, LatentView Analytics, Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT), Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Chennai Metro Rail, and Puthiya Thalaimurai.
